In Part II, the myth of the Æsir–Vanir War (or Peace) is analysed. The chapter deals with how the use of hostages in some versions of the myth were presented both in the text sources and within the research. The peace processes and ritual acts, as described in the myth of the war between the Æsir and the Vanir, are analysed.
